Abstract

Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) is an educational process that aims to help students see meaning in the academic material they are studying by connecting academic subjects with contexts in their daily lives, namely with the context of personal situations, their society and culture. To achieve this goal, the system includes the following eight components: making meaningful connections, doing meaningful work, engaging in self-regulated learning, engaging in collaboration, critical and creative thinking, helping individuals to grow and develop, achieving high standards, and using authentic assessment. This study uses a qualitative approach that seeks to provide a systematic and accurate description of the facts studied. This research is classified as field research. "Field research is research conducted by collecting data and information obtained directly from respondents." The Character-Loaded CTL (Contextual Teaching And Learning) Learning Model in the Akidah Akhlak Subject at MTs Baiturridha Bahorok District refers to constructivism learning (building understanding), inquiry learning processes (finding one's own), asking questions, and learning communities (group discussions). What is often encountered in learning, especially Islamic Religion, is the lack of attention of religious educators to learning approaches, generally educators only use conventional learning approaches, causing boredom in students which in the end students do not pay attention to the teacher's explanation. The learning process will run well if the learning approach used is really appropriate, because education and learning approaches are interrelated. Here the teacher plays an important role in guiding students towards the formation of the desired personality such as being able to be Character Loaded. Therefore, religious teachers in the Akidah Akhlak subject are challenged to be able to deliver material efficiently and effectively and to make students the focus of the learning process. In order for Aqidah Akhlak learning to work well, the learning approach used must attract students' attention, be fun and not be boring.
