Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

This study aims to find out how visionary leadership is in improving the quality of children's education in Islamic-based elementary The scientific approach is a learning process that is structured in such a way that students actively develop concepts, principles or laws through the stages of observing (to identify or find problems), formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, collecting data in various ways, analyzing data, drawing conclusions. and communicate the concepts, principles or laws discovered. To find out the relationship between the scientific approach in improving student learning achievement in the material on plural prayers and qasar class VII at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura, researchers used the classroom action research method. In cycle I, the results of observations showed that students seemed quite difficult to adapt to the application of the Scientific method which they had never done before, and there was more attention to improving the Scientific method in cycle II. In cycle II, the results of observations showed that students were quite enthusiastic in learning. The application of the Scientific method to Islamic Religious Education subjects showed that in cycle II it was better than cycle I. In cycle I the application of the Scientific method reached an average percentage of 70.40%, however in cycle II it increased to 92.32%. This shows that the application of the Scientific method increases student learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects by 20%. The Scientific Method is a fun method. Because the Scientific method has a positive influence on student learning patterns. Apart from that, less focused student activities such as chatting, joking, daydreaming and so on are reduced or minimized.
