Analisis Peran Guru PAI Dalam Menanamkan Sikap Toleransi Beragama Siswa di SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura T.A 2023-2024

Abstract

This research is field research which is motivated by the researcher's views regarding the existence of a good attitude of religious tolerance among students at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers, to determine students' attitudes of religious tolerance and to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in instilling students' attitudes of religious tolerance. In this research the author used a qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive analysis, and data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation methods that came directly from the sources or informants studied and were trustworthy. The results of this research show that the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura includes teachers acting as educators, mentors, motivators, organizers, demonstrators and inspirers. Students have a good attitude of religious tolerance where they help each other, mingle with each other, work together, and respect the beliefs of other people of different religions. And the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in instilling attitudes of religious tolerance, namely playing an important role in forming students' attitudes of religious tolerance. They use a learning approach that invites and includes students, links the values ​​of tolerance in lesson material, and applies learning methods that strengthen understanding of religious diversity. The result of the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in instilling an attitude of religious tolerance is that apart from students having a good attitude of tolerance, it also creates a comfortable and harmonious learning environment without any discrimination amidst existing differences.
