Abstract

The application of the bilqolam method to class Students' learning understanding is better with the application of the bilqolam method. It can be concluded that the bilqolam method is effective. Efforts to improve the ability to read the Koran in students of X Madrasah Aliyah Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura were successfully carried out by implementing the bilqolam method according to the plan that had been made. Efforts are made to actively involve students in every learning activity and explore the potential that students have, especially regarding Al-Quran lessons. The increase in student learning outcomes by applying the bilqolam method is known through the student activity sheets that have been created and show good improvement through the application of the bilqolam method. By increasing students' ability to read the Koran, it certainly influences student learning outcomes which also increase. In learning, students appear more active and enthusiastic in following the lesson material provided. Teachers must be able to position themselves as facilitators with the understanding that teachers are not the only smart people in the class, students also have abilities and knowledge that they bring from home. A good teacher is a teacher who is able to provide space for students to work together with other students and give them time to discover knowledge for themselves. This will make it easier for students to understand the lessons given by teachers at school.
