Abstract

The problem in this research is the low ability to read the Koran of class VII MTs Teladan Gebang students. This research aims to find out how students' ability to read the Koran in the Tahfidz class VII MTs Teladan Gebang subject is after using the Fattaqun method. The subjects of this research were 32 class VII students. This research uses a type of classroom action research. The data collection technique for this research is observation, interviews and documentation. This research procedure includes planning, action, observation and reflection. From the data analysis carried out by the researchers, it was found that the average pre-cycle score was 68 with classical completeness of 18.8%, the average score for cycle I was and the average score was 75 with classical completeness of 50% and the average score in cycle II namely 78 with classical completeness of 84.4%. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Fattaqun method can improve students' ability to read the Koran in the Tahfidz subject for class VII MTs Teladan Gebang students.
