Abstract

The gallery walk learning strategy is a discussion technique that gets students out of their seats and active in gathering important sentence concepts, writing and public speaking. This learning strategy is applied to increase understanding of the Hajj Wada' SKI material in class VII MTs Al-Washliyah P. Brandan. The subjects of this research were 20 class VII students at MTs Al-Wasliyah P. Brandan. This research was carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. From the analysis of the data that the author obtained, it is known that the initial condition was that in class VII MTs Al-Wasliyah P. Brandan there was a problem, namely that students' understanding of the Hajj Wada' SKI subject matter was low and far from the Minimum Completeness Criteria set by the Madrasah. In the pre-cycle implementation, the average student score was 66.25 with a total of 40% completeness. Then cycle I was carried out, from the classroom action research data carried out there was an increase in the average score in cycle I to 72.75 with a total of 65% completeness. Continuing to the second cycle of action, in this action there was another increase, namely the average student score was 83.75 with a total of 90% completeness. This shows that the gallery walk learning strategy that the researcher used was able to increase understanding of the Hajj Wada' SKI subject in class VII MTs Al-Washliyah P. Brandan.
