Identifikasi Problematika Mahasiswa Semester Akhir dalam Menyusun Skripsi Mahasiswa Prodi PAI STAI Jam'iyah Mahmdiyah Tanjung Pura

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the issues faced by final semester students in composing theses in the Islamic Education Program at STAI – Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura. The type and approach of research used in this study is qualitative research. The data collection techniques and tools employed include interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques involve Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Conclusion Drawing/Verification. The research results indicate that there are several internal factors affecting students in the Islamic Education Program at STAI Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura in completing their studies. These factors involve issues of laziness and lack of motivation, students' misunderstanding in composing academic papers, limitations in time management skills, and feelings of boredom and fatigue that may be experienced during the thesis process. Awareness of these factors is expected to assist in the development of better strategies and support to enhance academic performance and motivation for students to complete their studies more effectively. There are also several external factors affecting students in the Islamic Education Program at STAI Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura in completing their studies. These factors include family issues, economic problems, constraints in the guidance process with lecturers, and challenges faced by married students with work or teaching responsibilities. All of these factors contribute to delays in completing the thesis and their overall studies. Understanding these factors is expected to lead to appropriate steps or solutions to help students overcome these challenges and complete their studies more efficiently. Solutions to overcome the difficulties faced by students in the Islamic Education Program at STAI Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura include self-motivation, regular guidance and revisions with lecturers, effective time management by adjusting work and class schedules, and lastly, students participating in seminars and training organized by the campus.
