Abstract

This study aims to determine: Student learning outcomes before applying the index card match learning model with the story of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. To find out the implementation and learning outcomes after using the index card match learning model, the material is the story of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad. This type of research is in the form of classroom action carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SD Dharma Wanita with 23 students. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes before the implementation of CAR is very low. The pre-test score of students who completed 0%, while students who did not complete 100%. The pre-test scores showed that none of the students understood the material. When the research was conducted in the first cycle using the index card match learning model, student learning outcomes increased. 10 students (43%). Students also seem enthusiastic in learning. Then in the second cycle, student learning outcomes increased, as many as 21 students (91%) completed by achieving a KKM score of 75. Students who did not complete were 2 people 9%). Thus, it can be concluded that the index card match learning model can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic education subjects about the story of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad in SD Dharma Wanita.
