Data analysis was conducted through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that PAI teachers play an active role in identifying student delinquency through daily behavior observation, intensive communication with students, and collaboration with homeroom teachers, parents, and the school administration. The factors contributing to delinquency among students at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura include a lack of parental attention and supervision, negative peer influences, weak self-control, and the unregulated use of technology and social media. The teaching methods employed by PAI teachers to prevent delinquency encompass role modeling, habituation of religious values, advisory approaches, interactive dialogue, and the application of contextual teaching relevant to students’ daily lives. In conclusion, the role of PAI teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura is highly strategic in preventing student delinquency through integrated functions of instruction, guidance, and supervision, thereby fostering students’ noble character and sense of responsibility.
2025-10-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal Millia Islamia https://jurnal.perima.or.id/index.php/JMI/article/view/898 Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Membentuk Toleransi Siswa Pada Generasi Z Di SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura 2025-10-03T22:54:23+07:00 Khairunnisa khrnnisaa2406@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in shaping the attitudes of Generation Z students at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura, given the urgency of instilling values of diversity in the digital age. Using a qualitative approach with field study methods through observation, interviews, and documentation, this study examines how teachers instill tolerance values, the forms of tolerance attitudes that emerge, and the strategies applied. The results show that PAI teachers effectively serve as educators, mentors, and role models. This role is realized through strategies of integrating tolerance values into teaching materials, using discussion-based learning methods and role modeling, as well as personal guidance. The main findings show that the formation of tolerance attitudes in Gen Z students can be seen from the existence of mutual respect, cooperation, and acceptance of differences in the school environment. In conclusion, the role of PAI teachers is proven to be significant in shaping the tolerant character of Gen Z students, which provides them with important preparation for facing the challenges of a multicultural society.
2025-10-04T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal Millia Islamia
