A generation that is illiterate in the Al-Qur'an is a major challenge in instilling the spiritual character of teenagers, namely
the younger generation's understanding of religion, which will result in a weak understanding of religious knowledge, thereby
eliminating the young generation from the values of the Al-Qur'an which can be a guide for the next generation. young people
to carry out activities in their daily lives. Based on the results of observations made by the author, information was obtained:
The percentage level of students who dropped out of school in Kwala Gebang Village, Gebang District, is basically not too
large in connection with the Village having established 2 (two) State Primary Schools at the elementary school level, and the
establishment of the Ummi Saodah educational foundation which provides education at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level, as
well as the Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah, which is a madrasa which is held in the afternoon. Students who drop out of
school in Kwala Gebang Village are due to various factors, one of which is family economic factors which require students to
go to sea with their parents to fulfill their livelihood. So students are forced not to continue their education to the next stage,
especially male students. Based on this problem, the author conducted a qualitative type of research using a descriptive
approach, so the conclusion was obtained after conducting observations, interviews and documentation, it can be concluded
that the empowerment of children who have dropped out of school in eradicating illiteracy in the Koran is carried out by
implementing the Reading program. Writing the Qur'an through the Qur'an Village program in the Eradication of Al-
Qur'an Illiteracy in Kwala Gebang Village, Gebang District, namely providing outreach, Murojaah Subuh Activities,
Diniyah Madrasah, Tsanawiyah, Reading the Qur'an, Evaluation and training weekly.
