Upaya Peningkatan Keterampilan Praktik Siswa Pada Materi Fardhu Kifayah Melalui Pendekatan Project Based Learning Di Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sei Bingai

This study aims to improve students’ practical skills in Fardhu Kifayah material through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach in grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Sei Bingai. The background of this research stems from the low level of students’ practical skills in performing funeral rites, where most of them only master the theoretical aspects without being able to apply them in practice. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 20 grade XI students, and the data were collected through learning achievement tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ practical skills from the pre-cycle, cycle I, to cycle II, with the mastery percentage increasing from 40% to more than 85%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of PjBL effectively enhances students’ practical skills in Fardhu Kifayah while also fostering cooperation, responsibility, and social awareness.
