This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on the topic of living a meaningful life by avoiding wasteful behavior in Grade X of SMK Swasta Bintang Langkat through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 13 students of Grade X during the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, where only 30.76% of students achieved mastery in the pre-cycle, increasing to 60.23% in cycle I, and reaching 92.30% in cycle II. The average class score also improved from 68.1 in the pre-cycle to 73.5 in cycle I and 80 in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model is effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education while fostering an attitude of simplicity and avoiding wasteful behavior..
