Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the congregational Zuhr prayer at SMKN 1 Tanjung Pura and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that congregational Zuhr prayer is conducted daily with strong support from both the school administration and teachers, contributing to improved punctuality, a sense of togetherness, and students’ religiosity. Supporting factors include school commitment, a structured schedule, and teacher involvement; while the main inhibiting factors are student tardiness, lack of individual awareness, and limited prayer facilities. Overall, the program plays a vital role in fostering Islamic character among students and needs further enhancement of facilities and awareness education to optimize its implementation
