Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of ice breaking in overcoming learning boredom in students in the subject of Islamic Cultural History at MTs Swasta Al-Hidayah Air Hitam, Gebang District. The method used is descriptive qualitative research, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data obtained were systematically analyzed, selected, and arranged in certain categories to facilitate understanding. The results showed three main points: first, the implementation of ice breaking is carried out spontaneously or planned, adjusting the condition of the class and the situation of the students, thus increasing students' concentration and understanding of the subject matter. Second, learning boredom is caused by various factors such as physical, psychological fatigue, and differences in students' motivation and intelligence levels. Third, ice breaking, especially in the form of yells, is effective in arousing students' enthusiasm for learning in the classroom, so that the learning atmosphere becomes more lively and interactive. Thus, the application of ice breaking is proven to be effective in overcoming learning boredom and improving the quality of learning.
