Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning in developing the Quran reading ability of students at Darussa'adah Islamic Boarding School in Pangkalan Susu. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection instruments include interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that the process of Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning at Darussa'adah Islamic Boarding School is conducted systematically and structured. The learning focuses on individual practice, emphasizing the understanding of the rules of Tajwid and Makharijul Huruf. Teachers play an active role in providing correct reading examples and periodically assessing the development of students. The ability of students to read the Quran shows positive progress, although some students still face difficulties. The majority of students have experienced improvements in their Quran reading skills in terms of pronunciation and Tajwid. Interviews with students and teachers reveal that many students can read the Quran more accurately, although they still require further guidance. The implementation of Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning has proven effective in enhancing the Quran reading abilities of students. The methods used, such as direct practice and periodic assessments, help students understand and apply the rules of Tajwid in their readings. This approach also creates a more interactive learning environment and motivates students to practice more diligently.
