Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the School Literacy Movement program on improving student academic achievement at MTsS Teladan Gebang. The research used quantitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the literacy movement program at MTsS Teladan Gebang was classified as good with the level of student participation reaching an average of 52%. Student academic achievement is also high, with 49% of students stating that they often read textbooks and books outside of lessons. Data analysis showed a significant effect of the literacy movement program on student academic achievement, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-test value of 7.153 > 1.997. The effect of literacy movement variables on academic achievement was 44.4%, while 55.6% was influenced by other factors outside the study. This finding underscores the importance of school literacy programs as a strategic effort to improve student learning outcomes.
