Abstract

This research aims to analyze the perceptions of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers regarding the use of technology in teaching Islamic education at SMP IT Adzkia Babalan. In today's digital era, the utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) is essential for enhancing the effectiveness of learning. The method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that PAI teachers have a positive perception of technology use, viewing it as a tool that can help explain teaching materials in a more interactive and engaging manner. However, there are barriers to integrating technology into PAI learning, such as limited internet access and outdated mindsets among some parents who believe that students should focus on extensive writing. Additionally, some new seventh-grade students still face difficulties in implementing the technology provided by their teachers.Technical challenges also hinder the use of educational technology, including malfunctioning or "stuck" devices when teachers wish to utilize them. The recommendations from this study highlight the need for improved technological facilities, such as enhanced Wi-Fi access that can accommodate multiple users simultaneously. Teachers should also engage with parents through open communication to explain the importance of technology in education while balancing traditional learning methods. Furthermore, new students should receive training to become accustomed to using technology in Islamic education learning effectively.
