Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin Student Profile at MTsS Darul Arafah Pangkalan Brandan, focusing on implementation strategies, supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and its impact on students’ character formation. The Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin Student Profile emphasizes values of faith, piety, noble character, tolerance, social awareness, and positive contribution to society. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin values in the madrasah is carried out through intracurricular, cocurricular, and extracurricular activities, such as congregational prayers, Qur’an recitation, Friday charity programs, Islamic value-based learning, and Islamic student organization (Rohis) activities. Teachers play a significant role as role models (uswah hasanah) and as creators of an Islamic school culture. The main supporting factors include leadership commitment, teachers’ exemplary conduct, a conducive school environment, and parental involvement. Meanwhile, the obstacles identified are the negative influence of social media, limited facilities, and inconsistencies in values within the family environment. Overall, the implementation of this profile has succeeded in shaping students to be polite, religious, caring, and honest, although stronger synergy between school, family, and community is still needed to maintain the sustainability and effectiveness of the character-building process based on the Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin paradigm.
