Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project and the Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin Student Profile (P5-PPRA) in shaping the attitude of religious moderation in students at MTsN 1 Langkat. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Research participants included the Head of Curriculum, the project implementation team, homeroom teachers, and class VIII students. The results showed three main findings. 1) The implementation of P5-PPRA is carried out through the stages of socialisation, project implementation, and attitude-based assessment with the integration of Pancasila and Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin values. 2) The values of religious moderation are applied through the principles of tawasuth, i'tidal, tasamuh, shura, qudwah, and muwathanah which are instilled in learning activities and madrasah life. 3) Project activities such as the election of student council leaders and making short films develop student characters in terms of tolerance, deliberation, and equality, and are supported by MATSAMA activities and commemoration of Islamic holidays. This study concluded that the implementation of P5-PPRA at MTsN 1 Langkat succeeded in shaping moderate, tolerant, and nationalist attitudes in students.
