Abstract

This study examines the influence of parental participation on students’ academic achievement. The scope of this research focuses on the relationship between the level of parental involvement in children’s education and their learning outcomes. The objective of this study is to determine whether there is a significant and strong relationship between parental participation and students’ academic achievement. This research employed a quantitative correlational design. The sample consisted of 37 students selected as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation techniques and analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation and t-test with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that the Pearson correlation coefficient (r) was 0.876 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a very strong and significant positive relationship between parental participation and students’ academic achievement. The t-test result (t = 10.41) was significantly higher than the t-table value (2.030), confirming the statistical significance of the relationship. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.767, meaning that parental participation contributed 76.7% to students’ academic achievement. In conclusion, higher parental participation significantly improves students’ academic achievement.
