Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the implementation of the ARIAS learning model can enhance students' learning motivation in the subject of Fiqh. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two learning cycles. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, documentation, and tests. For data analysis techniques, this study used data reduction and data presentation methods. The results of the study show that the implementation of the ARIAS learning model can be carried out effectively through two cycles. This can be seen from the increase in student activities during the learning process in Cycle I and Cycle II. The results of the observation on students' learning activities initially reached a score of 73.11 in Cycle I, which then increased to 90.3 in Cycle II. There was also a difference in students' motivation in MTs Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura before and after the implementation of the Classroom Action Research using the ARIAS learning model.Before the learning process, students' learning motivation was categorized as low, with a percentage score of 64.61%. After applying the ARIAS learning model, students' motivation increased-based on the post-test questionnaire results-from 64.61% to 73.11% in Cycle I, and continued to rise in Cycle II, ↓ reaching 86.58%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the ARIAS learning model can significantly improve students' learning motivation in the Fiqh subject for eighth-grade students at MTS Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura.
