Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies for using social media to enhance academic and non-academic achievements at SMP IT Suara Da'i Muda Langkat. In the digital era, social media has significant potential to support the learning process and holistic development of students. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, collecting data through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and YouTube can be utilized to increase learning motivation, expand access to information, and facilitate communication among students, teachers, and parents. The strategies implemented include integrating social media into academic assignments, organizing extracurricular activities based on social media, and forming online learning communities. This approach has led to improvements in academic achievements, such as better learning outcomes, and non-academic achievements, including communication skills, creativity, and active participation in various school activities. The study concludes that the directed and measured utilization of social media can be an effective means to support students' potential development at SMP IT Suara Da'i Muda Langkat.
