Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum with the application of Quantum Teaching and Learning in the subject of Akidah Akhlak at MAS Yaspend Muslim Pematang Tengah, as well as to see its impact on students' understanding and character. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study type, where data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation of teachers, madrasah principals, and 11th grade students. The results of the study show that: (1) the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is going quite well and is able to make students more active, although there are still obstacles such as limited learning media and teachers' adjustment to the new system; (2) the application of Quantum Teaching and Learning has succeeded in creating a fun and meaningful learning atmosphere, so that students are more courageous in expressing their opinions, working together, and understanding moral values well; (3) the combination of the Merdeka Curriculum and Quantum Teaching made the teaching of Akidah Akhlak more interesting and built students' characters to be more faithful, knowledgeable, and noble. This study proves that creative and enjoyable learning can increase students' interest in learning and strengthen character education in madrasahs.
