Abstract

This study originated from the curiosity of researchers regarding the creativity of religion teachers in teaching Tajweed Science at MTs Darul Arafah Langkat Regency. This is an important factor in students' understanding of the laws of tajweed and makharijul huruf. Based on these problems, researchers are interested in digging deeper into the creativity of teachers in choosing and applying learning methods to improve students' ability to master makharijul letters and tajweed laws. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research that aims to describe the phenomena that occur in the field in accordance with the data obtained. The key informants in this study are teachers who teach at MTs Darul Arafah, while supporting informants are students who study at the school. The data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method, which prioritizes written data arranged in text form. To ensure data validity, researchers used data triangulation. The results showed that teachers at MTs Darul Arafah have tried to develop creativity in the use of learning methods to improve students' ability to master Tajweed. However, there are shortcomings in the development of teacher creativity, such as the inability of teachers to apply new learning methods and not maximizing the utilization of time for teaching.
