Abstract

               The new paradigm curriculum emphasizes or focuses on the Pancasila Student Profile, so that it becomes a challenge for Islamic Religious Education teachers to apply it which requires high competence and skills. Therefore, through learning Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Pura there is a commitment to developing a school culture in producing students with character according to the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. The focus of this research is: What is the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile at SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Pura? This research aims to describe the role of PAI teachers as demonstrators, mediators and evaluators in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile at SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Pura. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study type and the subject selection uses purposive techniques in that it is chosen with certain considerations and objectives. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis model used is data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data uses data credibility, namely:                   technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this research are: 1) The role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile at SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Pura is teachers as uswatun hasanah or good role models by instilling character education through the KD taught, through selected religious and extracurricular activities. 2) The role of the Islamic Religious Education teacher as a mediator in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile at SMPN 2 Tanjung Pura is that the teacher serves as a means to achieve learning objectives through the use of media, namely PowerPoint slides (PPT) with source material from worksheet textbooks, material from the internet, and AI. -Quran. Apart from that, books related to Islamic religious education are in libraries, student literacy corners, prayer rooms and other locations. 3) The role of the Islamic Religious Education teacher as an evaluator in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile at SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Pura is the student's learning outcomes which are measured by the teacher with an evaluation using a written test type with multiple choice questions, description questions and character assessment through student observation. in the school environment.
