PENGALAMAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM (PAI) DALAM MENGINTEGRASIKAN NILAI-NILAI ISLAM DI SEKOLAH PONDOK PESANTREN HUJATURRAHMAH TANJUNG PURA

This study aims to describe in depth the experiences of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in integrating Islamic values into learning at the Hujaturrahmah Tanjung Pura Islamic Boarding School, as well as to analyze the challenges faced and their impact on the development of religious understanding and character of students. This study used a qualitative approach with field research. The research subjects included PAI teachers, Islamic boarding school leaders, and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers integrate Islamic values through two main stages: design and implementation. In the design stage, teachers develop teaching modules containing relevant Quranic verses and hadith, align the national curriculum with Islamic boarding school values, and design exemplary and habit- based learning methods. In the implementation stage, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers encourage students to begin lessons with recitation and prayer, instill the values of honesty, discipline, and responsibility, use exemplary Islamic figures, and relate the subject matter to daily life at the Islamic boarding school. Challenges faced include the heterogeneity of students' religious understanding, limited learning time, and a lack of Islamic value-based media. To address these challenges, teachers employ a personal approach, strengthen non-formal learning in the dormitory, and utilize simple technology. The integration of Islamic values has been proven to improve students' comprehensive religious understanding, foster noble character, discipline, responsibility, and social awareness, thus supporting the realization of the goals of holistic Islamic education in the Islamic boarding school environment
