ANALISIS PERAN GURU AKIDAH AKHLAK DALAM MENGINTEGRASIKAN NILAI UNTUK MEMBENTUK KARAKTER SISWA KELAS X DI MAN 2 LANGKAT

Ideally, education aims to produce individuals who excel in knowledge and character. However, many students still do not reflect the expected attitudes and behaviors. Aqidah Akhlak teachers at MAN 2 Langkat play a crucial role in shaping student character. They not only teach subject matter but also focus on instilling moral values and character. The purpose of this study is to describe the role, inhibiting factors, and supporting factors of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in shaping the Islamic character of grade 10 students at MAN 2 Langkat. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The focus of the research is the role of the akidah akhlak teacher in shaping the Islamic character of class X students of MAN 2 Langkat. The research informants were determined by purposive sampling technique, consisting of the principal, the akidah akhlak teacher and class X students of MAN 2 Langkat. Data collection was carried out through three techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the researcher's data used triangulation techniques, while data analysis was carried out with an interactive model including the process of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study show that the process of character formation of class X students of MAN 2 Langkat has three student characters taught by the Akidah Akhlak teacher to students, namely: Islamic Character or Morals towards Allah (Habluminallah), Islamic Character or Morals towards Humans (Habluminannas), Islamic Character or Morals towards the Environment (Habluminan alam). The role of the Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Faith) teacher in shaping the character of tenth-grade students at MAN 2 Langkat demonstrates the importance of ongoing support from all school and community stakeholders in maintaining and improving the implementation of this project. Aqidah Akhlak teachers serve not only as teachers but also as role models, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators.
