This study aims to analyse the implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in Akidah Akhlak learning at MAN 2 Langkat and its impact on the formation of students' religious character. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a field approach, which involves direct observation of the learning process and interactions between teachers and students. The research results show three main findings: 1) Implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum creates flexible, contextual, and student-centred learning, and integrates technology to develop students' critical thinking and communication skills. 2) Students' religious character building is strengthened through an approach that integrates theory and daily life practices, with the role of teachers, extracurricular activities, and collaboration between schools, parents, and communities. 3) Merdeka Belajar Curriculum provides flexibility for teachers to design lessons that not only teach religious knowledge, but also form religious characters through active learning, discussion, and in-depth character assessment.
