Abstract

The Relationship between the Social Competence of Islamic Religious Education Teachers and the Character Formation of Students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Ikhlas Pangkalan Susu. The subjects in this research were 30 students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Ikhlas Pangkalan Susu. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research location was carried out at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Ikhlas, Pangkalan Susu District, Langkat Regency. This research was carried out from August to December 2023. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between the social competence of Islamic religious education teachers and the character formation of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Ikhlas Pangkalan Susu, whether there is a significant relationship between these two variables. To prove this, the author conducted a research on this title which was carried out on 30 students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Ikhlas Pangkalan Susu who were used as research samples. Data collection tools are library research, observation, questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaire results were processed using tabulation to determine the frequency. Based on the discussion of research results in this thesis, it can be seen that the relationship between social competence of Islamic religious education teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Ikhlas Pangkalan Susu is very good (67%). Meanwhile, the character formation of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Ikhlas Pangkalan Susu students is very good (60%). The results of the tabulation calculation between the relationship between the social competence of Islamic religious education teachers and the character formation of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Ikhlas Pangkalan Susu with a moderate or sufficient level of significance.
