Program Literasi Dalam Mengembangkan Critical Thinking Pada Pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits Siswa Kelas VIII MTS Kasratussa’adah Tanjung Pura

Abstract

Reading activities need to be owned by everyone, especially by students , teachers, educators, the academic community, and others. Students' literacy ability is closely related to the demands of reading skills which leads to the ability to understand information analytically , critically, and reflectively. Through literacy, a person not only gains knowledge but can also use his knowledge and experience to be used as a reference in the future. to come . Literacy carried out by individuals such as by reading, listening to information or stories, then individuals can find ways to solve problems, so that individuals will analyze their problems and in the end will form a critical character or person. The School Literacy Program at MTs Kasratussa'adah Tanjung Pura is one of the alternatives to have a positive impact on students' interest in reading. With good literacy skills, it is hoped that critical thinking skills will also increase. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of the School Literacy Program at MTs Kasratussa'adah to the implementers and stakeholders of the literacy program .

This research is a type of field research that uses qualitative methods, namely research that aims to conduct an in-depth study of a social unit, by taking the location of MTs Kasratussa'adah Tanjung Pura. The data collection method was in the form of interviews with the school principal, Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers and grade VIII students, non-participant observations where the researcher was an independent observer and documentation of the implementation of literacy programs and student activities . The analysis technique is carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The validity of the data is checked by triangulation .

The results of this study show that the literacy program at MTs Kasratussa'adah Tanjung Pura has been running well where students are used to reading and are expected to be able to have a critical thinking impact on the learning of the Qur'an Hadith. This can be seen from several indicators of critical thinking skills achieved by students, namely: the ability to recognize and solve problems, the ability to synthesize, the ability to analyze, the ability to evaluate or assess, the ability to conclude.
