Abstract

The author presents a general picture of the problem that teachers as educators have not fully implemented innovative learning models due to various problems faced, such as teachers' limitations in combining lesson material by utilizing learning innovations through electronic and digital media. These problems will certainly affect learning and teaching activities at MAN 2 Langkat. One of the developments in this learning model is the innovative learning model. The problem formulation that the author has compiled is: How to develop innovative learning models in the independent learning curriculum at MAN 2 Langkat? By applying qualitative research methods through the process of observation, interviews and documentation as well as carrying out validity checking techniques using triangulation techniques, the conclusion is obtained that: The development of innovative learning models in the independent learning curriculum has been implemented optimally at MAN 2 Langkat so that innovative learning is implemented by utilizing existing technology. collaborated with PAI lesson material, but teachers must also continue to teach character education which is the emphasis in PAI learning so that students are not carried away by the negative current of digital media, especially easy internet access.
