Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP) in supporting the duties and functions of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura. The research used qualitative method with descriptive approach, involving observation, interview, and documentation study. The research subjects were four PAI teachers at the school. The results showed that MGMP PAI has a structured programme and focuses on improving teaching competence through discussion, training, and evaluation. PAI teachers are responsible not only for academic learning but also for student character development through religious activities. MGMP plays an important role as a platform for collaboration and professional development, allowing teachers to improve their skills and the quality of education. MGMP PAI in SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura proved to be effective in supporting PAI teachers' duties and functions, ensuring better quality of education and teaching.
