Abstract

The background of this thesis is that leadership is an important issue for an institutional organization, this is because leadership is one of the most influential factors for the success of an organization in achieving its goals. This thesis discusses the leadership of the madrasa head in improving the quality of education at MAS Ubudiyah Pangkalan Berandan. This study aims to determine the leadership role of the madrasa head in improving the quality of education, knowing the implications of the leadership role of the madrasa head in improving the quality of learning at MAS Ubudiyah. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, data collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, namely the method of analysis in the form of words not numbers. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The leadership role of the madrasa head in improving the quality of education is through coaching (mental, moral and artistic development). The madrasa head provides motivation and guidance to teachers. Evaluate all teachers. (2) The implication of the leadership role of the madrasah head in improving the quality of education is that the madrasah head always supervises, including making class visits to observe the learning process directly. Always motivate and guide teachers. Provide an assessment of the results of the evaluation of teacher performance.
