Abstract

This study aims to find out how strategic management is carried out in guiding graduates in the acceleration program so that they can be accepted into selected universities. The research data was obtained from interviews by the Coordinator, the PTN/PTS Registration Team, Deputy Head of Curriculum and Teachers, as well as documents as a complement to the existing research results. Research data were collected by techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. Then the data were analyzed using four-stage analysis techniques, namely, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification.

This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. The results of this study are the stages of the process carried out in the management of the graduation strategy in the acceleration program carried out at the institution including the following processes: first, the initial entry of students to MAI will begin in grouping students based on their talents and interests. Second, students will participate in learning for 1 year by condensing the material taken for 2 years. Third, after carrying out 1 year of learning, students who excel will be included in the acceleration program in the sense that these students have above average grades. Fourth, after carrying out all the material for 3 semesters in the acceleration program, in semester 4 students will repeat the material they do not understand by solving the questions given by the institution. Fifth, complete all the exams given by the institution and the National. Sixth, enter the stage in choosing a PTN entrance route. Seventh, at the final stage, namely the announcement of whether or not to be admitted to a domestic or foreign PTN. And from the research results, almost 100% of acceleration program students graduate to enter domestic and foreign PTN/PTS.
