Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Determine the leadership style in Madrasah Aliyah Private Ubudiyah Pangkalan Berandan. 2) Knowing how to increase the number of students in Madrasah Aliyah Private Ubudiyah Pangkalan Berandan. 3) Knowing the leadership style of the madrasah principal in increasing the number of students at the Private Ubudiyah Madrasah Aliyah Pangkalan Berandan. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were the head of the madrasa, administration, and teachers. The results of the research that the researchers found at MAS Ubudiyah Pangkalan Berandan were 1) The leadership style of the head of the madrasa is a democratic leadership style seen from the head of the madrasa planning and involving subordinates, solving problems by asking for input from subordinates, using a democratic system during meetings, decision making always considers the voice from subordinates, providing direction and guidance to subordinates. 2) How to increase the number of students in this madrasa begins with improving teacher facilities and performance, creating a new student admissions committee and making a brochure containing some information such as the madrasa location plan, registration requirements, vision and mission of the madrasa, activities carried out, achievements made. achieved, the facilities and infrastructure owned, and the teaching staff. 3) The leadership style of the madrasa principal in increasing the number of students in this madrasa is a democratic and authoritarian leadership style.
