Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the learning model learning start with a question. This research is a class action research. The subjects in this study were 25 students of grade VIII-1 MTs Private Nurul Iman Padang Reba. This research shows that: the application of the learning model learning start with a question is carried out in two cycles, one meeting in the cycle, where each cycle consists of four stages, namely, planning, action, observation and reflection. Where the application before the action of the learning model learning start with a question has class completeness data reaching 48% or students who complete only 12 students out of 25 students. The application of the learning start with a question learning model in the first cycle has completeness data of 56% with student completeness rising to 14 students from 25 students. The application of the learning start with a question learning model in cycle II has completeness data of 92% with student completeness rising to 23 students from 25 students. Based on cycle I and cycle II data, it shows that the learning model of learning start with a question can improve student learning outcomes in fiqh subjects.
