Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dalam Mengelola Konflik di Smk Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura

Abstract

The conflict that arises at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura is a conflict resulting from dissatisfaction or disagreement with the Principal's decision towards the teachers or between the teachers themselves, giving rise to conflict within each individual. For example, problems often arise in dividing productive teaching hours, because there are teachers who teach lessons that are not in accordance with the basics of the subject. This is due to misunderstandings between fellow teachers in understanding this matter. Other conflicts involve teachers arriving late at school, giving different assignments to one teacher and another, causing some teachers to feel burdened. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were Madrasah heads and Islamic religious teachers. Method of collecting data by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis technique goes through the stages of the data collection process, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion presentation. The research results show that the Principal of SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura uses several leadership styles in managing teacher performance conflicts at school, namely democratic and authoritarian leadership styles. The democratic style of the Principal of SMK N 1 Tanjung Pura was proven during work meetings. The Principal was democratic, so that subordinates could provide input and convey complaints openly without hiding anything. In meetings the Principal preferred a family nature. While the leadership style at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura based on quick decision making can give satisfaction to the Principal, this authoritarian leadership style is very helpful in creating discipline in teacher performance in the school.
