Peran Kepala Madrasah dalam Meningkatkan Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru di MTs Negeri 2 Langkat

Abstract

The focus of the problem in this research is the role of the school principal in enhancing the pedagogical competence of teachers at MTs Negeri 2 Langkat. The specific research questions aimed to formulate the problem are as follows: 1) What is the role of the Madrasah principal's leadership in the implementation of teaching at MTs Negeri 2 Langkat? 2) How to enhance the pedagogical competence of teachers in conducting teaching activities at MTs Negeri 2 Langkat? 3) What is the role of the school principal in improving the pedagogical competence of teachers at MTs Negeri 2 Langkat? This research employs a qualitative research model, and the findings are as follows: 1) The leadership model used by the principal of MTs Negeri 2 Langkat is a persuasive approach, where the principal leads with a more familiar technique and guides teachers in improving pedagogical competence through concrete examples. 2) The leadership role of the principal of MTs Negeri 2 Langkat has been effective, resulting in an improvement in the pedagogical competence of teachers in the good category. 3) The pedagogical competence of teachers at MTs Negeri 2 Langkat is categorized as good.
