Penerapan Metode Punishment dalam Bentuk Hafalan Qur’an Surah Al-Kahfi dalam Peningkatan Disiplin Belajar Al-Qur’an Hadits Siswa Kelas VII MTS Swasta Babussalam Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

The application of the punishment learning method to learning the Koran Hadith in class VII MTs Babussalam Besilam is in accordance with the plans that have been made, learning activities are carried out by no longer giving pretests to students, before starting learning the teacher motivates students to be more active in learning. The next step is still in the teacher's guide in the form of class percentage actions and group work. For students who cannot do well in percentages, they are given a penalty by memorizing surah Al-Kahf. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK), data collection methods are by means of observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The research subjects totaled 32 students. The results of this study indicate that the application of the punishment method can improve discipline and learning outcomes for class VII students of MTs Babussalam Besilam in the subject of the Qur'anic Hadith material about the names and functions of the Qur'an, after the application of the punishment learning method in cycle I the average value increased to 82 with a percentage mastery of 60% and the percentage of learning completeness has not reached 85%. And cycle II the average score of students reached 87 (30 students) with a completeness percentage of 100% with an increase difference from cycle I to cycle II of 20%. Thus cycle II experienced a significant increase, so the researcher concluded that there was no need to continue in the next cycle
