Analisis Peran Prof. Dr. H. Abdullah Syah, MA Dalam Membina Pendidikan Islam Pada Yayasan STAI Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah Langkat

Abstract

This research is a character study using a qualitative data approach in collecting research data. The figures studied are professors at several universities and high schools in North Sumatra. The focus of his research on the role of Prof. Dr. H. Abdullah Syah, MA at the Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura Islamic high school foundation. The research results obtained that the role of Prof. Dr. H. Abdullah Syah, MA was very big in fostering the Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura Islamic College Foundation which can be seen at the inception of the college. He has been directly involved in the formation and founding of the Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Islamic High School foundation itself. Presenting an Islamic College of Religion is a form of major contribution in presenting an Islamic tertiary institution which certainly has presented a better Islamic education for the community and the existing Islamic generation. especially in responding to alumni who have graduated from Madrasah Tsanawiyah and Aliayah who are in the Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah foundation. Prof. Dr. H. Abdullah Syah, MA can be said to be one of the founding fathers of the Islamic High School Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura. The evidence that can be seen is the big role of Prof. Dr. H. Abdullah Syah, MA in fostering Islamic education at the Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Tanjung Pura Islamic College foundation can also be seen from the management of the foundation whose level of education is very good, many of whom are religious leaders and scholars both whose work is in Langkat and outside Langkat such as the level of North Sumatra. From the perspective of alumni of Islamic High Schools, many have become preachers, professional educators and lecturers.
