Abstract

The subject teacher deliberation program carried out at MTs Nurul Huda Pematang Cengal has been carried out well. Every month a subject teachers' meeting is held both in one school and with several schools in one rayon in the sub-district. Madrasas allocate funds for teacher deliberation activities in these subjects so that teachers can participate in the program optimally. The quality of education at MTs Nurul Huda Pematang Cengal has increased where students are more active in learning activities. Teachers are able to create a pleasant learning atmosphere for students. The learning methods and media applied show the creativity and innovation provided by the teachers who educate. Student character education at MTs Nurul Huda Pematang Cengal can be seen from students' critical learning. Furthermore, good character is demonstrated by students both when interacting in the learning process and when they are in the madrasah environment and the environment around the students. Character education applied to students is good character and critical thinking. The subject teacher deliberation program in improving the quality of education with character at MTs Nurul Huda Pematang Cengal has been effectively implemented in madrasas. Teachers who have participated in the subject teacher deliberation program can apply the results well during the teaching and learning process so that the quality of student character education can be well formed with good character and critical thinking in students.
