Abstract

The problem in this research is the low skill of reading the Al-Qur'an of class XI students of MAS Yaspend Muslim Pematang Tengah. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Reading Guide method on Al-Qur'an reading skills in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject of class XI studentsof MAS Yaspend Muslim Pematang Tengah. The subjects of this research were 23 students class XI Science. This type of research uses quantitative research. This research was conducted using a pre-experimental design method, one group pretest-posttest design. The data collection technique for this research is observation, analysis sheets and oral tests of Surah Al-Anfal verse 72.The instruments in this research were pretest and posttest of Al-Qur'an reading skills with material on living peacefully with mujahadatun-nafs, husnuz-zann, and ukuwah. From the data analysis carried out by researchers, it was found that the average pretest score was 71,48 and the average posttest score was 80,96. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test with dk = 23 – 1 = 22 and the error level used was 0.05. From the calculation data, it is obtained that thitung> ttable is 7.050> 1.717, which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus it can be concluded that the Reading Guide method is effective in Al-Qur'an reading skills in the Al-Quran Hadith subject of class XI students of MAS Yaspend  Muslim Pematang Tengah
