Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Melalui Penerapan Soal Hots Pada Mata Pelajaran Akidah Akhlak Siswa Kelas VII Mts Darul Ilmi Pangkalan Berandan

The application of questions that have a cognitive level at the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) level can improve students' critical thinking and analysis skills. However, in reality there are still many teachers who have not been able to create and develop HOTS-based questions properly which affects low learning outcomes. . This type of research is classroom action research (CAR), data collection methods by means of observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The research subjects totaled 32 students. The results of this study indicate that in this study researchers and teachers worked together in compiling HOTS questions to test learning outcomes in each cycle. The following are the steps for compiling the questions carried out by researchers and teachers in the Akidah Akhlak Class VII study field in compiling HOTS-based questions, including 1) analyzing the basic competencies that can be made HOTS questions, 2) compiling a grid of questions, 3) Choose an interesting and contextual stimulus, 4) Write the questions according to the question grid, 5) Make a rubric. The application of HOTS learning can be carried out properly through two cycles. The results of teacher observations in cycle I were 71.42 then became 85.71 (good) in cycle II. Likewise in the observation of student activity which originally in cycle I reached a score of 63.33 then increased to 86 in cycle II. There was an increase in student learning outcomes with the application of HOTS-based questions in the Akidah Akhlak subject on Adab Prayer and Berzkir class VII MTs Darul Ilmi Pangkalan Berandan can be seen from the average score in pre-cycle student learning outcomes was 69.31 and increased in cycle I to 74 .46 (enough) and in cycle II it increased again to 82.43. (good). It can also be seen in the increase in the percentage of student completeness, namely in the pre-cycle p is 53.12% then in cycle I, which increases to 71.87% (enough) then increases again to 84.37% (good) in cycle II
