Abstract

Islamic education is a very important education for Muslims wherever they are, both for children, adolescents and parents. Especially for school-age children, Islamic religious education is a must. Because the age of children is very vulnerable and unstable, it is necessary to have a religious foundation that can be used as a guide so that they can grow and develop into Muslim individuals who have strong fortifications and piety. The research location that the author took was at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura, which is one of the leading vocational schools in Tanjung Pura sub-district. Based on the evaluation of PAI learning, the results obtained are always satisfactory. This cannot be separated from the efforts made by the teacher in packaging learning so that students can understand it well. For this reason, the problem that the author raises in this study is "How is the application of Islamic Religious Education in SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung" so the purpose of the research is to find out and obtain data about Islamic Religious Education in SMK that is applied and the steps for its implementation. This research is a type of field research. And the method used by the author in this study is a qualitative descriptive method and is presented in descriptive form. While the data collection process is carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the principal and teacher of Islamic religious education at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung. From the analysis that the author did after conducting the research, it can be concluded that SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura has implemented Islamic Religious Education well, this can be seen from the attitudes of students, they already have good morals in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Religious Education
