Implementasi Program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Berbasis Metode di Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Fathul Jamil Desa Pantai Cermin Kabupaten Langkat

This study aims to explore the implementation of the tahfidz Al-Qur’an program using the sima’an method at Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Fathul Jamil and its impact on the quality of memorization, discipline, and character formation of the students. This research employed a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the sima’an method, implemented regularly, does not merely emphasize the quantity of memorization but rather focuses on the quality of recitation, discipline, and the development of Qur’anic character. This method has proven effective in maintaining memorization quality, improving fluency, enhancing courage, concentration, and self-confidence, as well as strengthening solidarity and togetherness among students. Although obstacles such as nervousness, time limitations, and fluctuating motivation were encountered, these challenges were overcome through teacher guidance, gradual habituation, and peer support. This research is in line with previous studies that highlight the importance of sima’i, muraja’ah, and tasmi’ methods in improving the quality of memorization. However, this study contributes a new perspective by emphasizing the role of the sima’an method in developing courage, self-confidence, discipline, and student motivation. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the tahfidz program based on the sima’an method at Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Fathul Jamil not only produces strong and fluent memorization in accordance with tajweed but also shapes students into Islamic characters who are ready to contribute positively to society.
